I embarked on this journey to understanding a different type of medicine when there was no one who could help my wife, Caroline, with her Fibromyalgia. There were no cures and not many answers until I was given a copy of Suzanne Sommers’ book, The Sexy Years. In it I discovered Dr. Diana Schwarzbein and picked up her books. For the first time, I felt like I had found some answers to the problems that modern medicine could not solve. It was a new way of looking at the body and the way that all of the systems interact. I was ready to send my wife to Dr. Schwarzbein, but as luck would have it, her practice was full. Further investigation led me to her courses for medical professionals and the start into a deeper understanding of the human body and the complexity of the interactions between the bodily systems. I ended up in Santa Barbara by invitation of Dr. Schwarzbein to share space in her practice, and help her as she minimized and eventually phased out of patient care to pursue other goals.
We need to address the serious breakdown that is occurring in our bodies, especially in light of our toxic environment, and processed foods. Our practice is now implementing programs that lead to the health of my family, friends, and now my patients. My passion is to continually improve programs which lead to health, wellness, and the prevention of disease. I have undertaken training to equip me for effective hormone and metabolic balancing. The future of medicine is prevention and health is up to us, we just need to be educated and act on that knowledge.

Everyone in the office was amazing! They are very professional, helpful, very knowledgeable and very nice too! Which is important to me! I would highly recommend LA Pain Specialist! Very caring and took time with me. I especially loved the uber ride they provided as I live quite far from the place. I got a call out of the blue about 4 months ago, i guess they had just made some openings in their center. I was a bit curious at first, then i had remembered 2 years ago after my auto accident i had submitted some inquiry's to get pain management relief. I must say it did take them a long time to contact me but im really glad they did, i had been to 3 different pain management doctors and all of those doctors kept giving me more and more pain meds i became dependent on them and the pain was still there! I went in for my appointment in may and Dr. Dureza really listened to me and what i was going through he gave me a medicine to help me get off the pain meds and scheduled me for my surgery. I got the stem cell on my Right knee it worked amazingly! i still have a little bit of pain here and there but for the most part i am doing very well. way better than i was before i came in. now we will be focusing on my back and neck, already have my next procedure scheduled. thanks to the kind staff and doctors my life has improved and is continuing to improve. it was the best forgot about inquiry i ever got a call on thank you los angeles pain specialist! so i have never felt more excited to receive a life changing phone call, i was days away from getting a back surgery that i wasnt sure if it was necessary at such a young age. i received a call from a rep who told me that i was covered through my ppo policy, of course i thought this was to good to be true but with all the services they offer i took a chance i saw doctor Williams, man am i happy i did not only did he give me his honest opinion about my condition but he has also saved me thousands of dollars in treatments. I am super grateful for their team from the first hello, to my weekly check ins with my patient reps, to the medical staff and the doctors ive never felt more comfortable and taken care of in my entire life. that horrible debilitating pain that took me away from my 2 year old their doctors where able to bring my life back. thank you LAPS!!! you guys are amazing! It was a great experience and I'm learning a great deal of information about my health. Everyone is very friendly and detailed oriented to improve my health. WOW, is all I keep saying about the staff and physicians. They are very friendly and courteous. The doctor made me feel like I wasn't losing my mind. He asked questions and knew immediately what type of plan to put together for me. The staff calls weekly to check up on me and see how I'm doing. They make me feel like they are truly concerned and not just another patient routine call. I am very happy and blessed to have found this facility. Thank you, thank you, thank you! First and foremost - the wait was very minimal. I appreciate that. The PA was very direct and polite. The office was clean and it was very convenient to be open for business on a Saturday. Information that was shared was believable and consistent. I will absolutely recommend this company. Very Trustable Great bedside manner. They are extremely thorough. The staff from the reception desk to the Doctors are extremely pleasant and genuinely care about their patients. They have strong follow-up. They are extremely accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this practice! Really solid service all around. The staff and doctor were all super attentive and helpful. The doctor took his time assessing me and gave me much needed feedback. I finally have a plan moving forward that i can hang my hat on and trust that I'm in great hands. Highly recommend.
